Overview:

Chickahominy Lake is a rare find to say the least.

It offers a unique fishing experience not seen on

most other Virginia lakes. With its plentiful cypress

trees and water lilies to the large variety of aquatic

vegetation it provides plenty of places to hide for all

the fish is supports. The lake provides great

opportunities for primary sport fish, like the largemouth

bass and crappie but also supports large numbers of

bowfin and chain pickerel.  There are no public boat

ramps on the lake so you must go to one of the private

marinas to launch or rent a boat (see below).
