In 2008 alone 44 Largemouth Bass Citations were issued on bass caught in the lake. The largest being over 12 pounds tells you this is a quality fishery. The lake was actually stocked with Florida-strain bass in an effort to increase trophy performance and it seems to be working. The lake does have some shore fishing opportunities and bathroom facilities. A handicapped assessable fishing pier is also available for fishing.
Note that there is a 14-24 inch protected slot limit, which means no bass may be kept if they fall under that slot. Also only one bass longer than 24 inches may be retained. Unless you need to feed your family, lets keep these bass in the lake! |
