Overview:

Amelia Lake is known for its large numbers of largemouth bass.  While not all

bass are trophy sized there are good opportunities to catch a number of fish.

With that said 8 Largemouth Citations were issued last year alone and some of

them were over 10 pound fish. The lake is located within the Amelia Wildlife

Management Area close to Richmond, Virginia.  The channel catfish are stocked

annually to support this part of the fishery but don't expect large numbers or

super sized cats. The lake is open 24 hours a day and there is a handicap fishing

pier available.
